NBC's 'The Apprentice,' starring Donald Trump, to premiere January 8

After 215,000 applications, a 16-city recruiting tour and several months of production, NBC has announced that The Apprentice, the network's new reality series that stars Donald Trump and was created by Survivor producer Mark Burnett, will make its super-sized premiere after Friends on January 8 (8:30 - 10:00 PM ET). FOX has announced that its hit American Idol series will make its highly anticipated third-season debut on Tuesday, January 20 and Wednesday, January 21. ABC has announced that in addition to picking up the network's Extreme Makeover series for a full twenty-two episode season, the network has also ordered six episodes of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, a spin-off series that brings the radical makeover concept to homes across America. A one-hour special of the series will air on ABC on Wednesday, December 3 at 10PM ET. Well it took awhile, but ABC has finally announced a premiere date for Celebrity Mole Yucatan, the fourth installment of its The Mole reality series. Only a couple of days after announcing that it was cancelling The Next Joe Millionaire's Tuesday night broadcasts and just planning on broadcasting the remaining episodes of the ten-episode series in its Mondays at 8PM ET timeslot, FOX has done an about face and is once again planning on airing two episodes of the program a week. Wondering how this week's unusual Episode 7 two-parter will effect the rest of the Survivor: Pearl Islands broadcast schedule? Wonder no more. During a post-Episode 7 press conference, Survivor producer Mark Burnett announced that due to the addition of the two-part Episode 7 episode, not only will this Survivor season not feature the traditional mid-series "recap" episode, but that additional new season finale changes are in store.
